This painting was inspired by my fond memories of the special times my father and I shared while fishing when I was a child. We took the long walk through sugar cane fields to a special fishing spot where we would spend and enjoy the day together.

As a self-taught artist, my love for the visual arts began at age five, finding inspiration in my creative experiences with clay and pencil. The positive responses I have received from those who have seen my artwork has added to my motivation to continue exploring artistic media. The artwork below represents some of the drawings and paintings I have produced recently, when I have been able to carve out creative time for myself. My present focus is working with pastels, having always had great admiration for the masterpieces by Degas. I have exhibited my work in art shows in North Carolina and South Florida.
