Boynton Inlet is a place that I have visited often. When I saw the one-legged pelican waiting for a fisherman to clean his fish, hoping to get the remains, I was ready with my camera and shot. The photograph inspired me to put it on canvas.

As a self-taught artist, my love for the visual arts began at age five, finding inspiration in my creative experiences with clay and pencil. The positive responses I have received from those who have seen my artwork has added to my motivation to continue exploring artistic media. The artwork below represents some of the drawings and paintings I have produced recently, when I have been able to carve out creative time for myself. My present focus is working with pastels, having always had great admiration for the masterpieces by Degas. I have exhibited my work in art shows in North Carolina and South Florida.
