Artist's Description

I created this painting following a visit to the bird sanctuary in Delray Beach, Florida. While there, my attention was grabbed by the activity of this Ibis. Later, when I reviewed the photographs I had taken, to my surprise I discovered it was eating a snake.

About Mario Cabrera

Mario Cabrera

As a self-taught artist, my love for the visual arts began at age five, finding inspiration in my creative experiences with clay and pencil. The positive responses I have received from those who have seen my artwork has added to my motivation to continue exploring artistic media. The artwork below represents some of the drawings and paintings I have produced recently, when I have been able to carve out creative time for myself. My present focus is working with pastels, having always had great admiration for the masterpieces by Degas. I have exhibited my work in art shows in North Carolina and South Florida.
